Tatas are trying hard to get Jaguar and Landrover a strong foothold in US
where their performance has not been anything noteworthy.JLR introduced the
2013 Jaguar XJ V6 super charger in New
York recently. It is reported that Jaguar Land Rover NA, is “starting a
nine-month push that includes a partnership with Playboy magazine” while
introducing all-wheel-drive versions of its XF and XF sedans(Business Line, August 18, 2012) .While
the details of partnerships are not available, one is likely rto be surprised
by the possibility of Tatas, a traditional, value-driven conglomerate known for
its principled approaches to business entering into a partnership with the
Playboy magazine to promote its sales.Or is it a pointer to the move towards
the younger generation(represented by the 43-year old Cyrus Mistry, the Chairman designate)
from the old guard(Ratan Tata, retiring after attaining the age of 75)? It will
be interesting to see how the partnership develops and delivers.

Sir,
I see three things common here:
1. The ability to raise the pulse and adrenalin! (or Testosterone)
2. Hot chicks and hot cars always went together.
3. Good looking girls and cars are ogled at! (or admired)
Maybe these reason prompted JLR to select Playboy.
